R&D innovation: We have developed a new quality of tool steel: RAVNE HDC – Heavy Duty Cutting.
RAVNE HDC is a special medium-alloyed ESR hot and cold work tool steel with extra fine structure (EFS), which has extreme toughness and wear resistance and is used mainly in the production of wear resistant tools and heavy gauge cutting applications; for the cutting of high strength material, where a high degree of toughness is required; for tools and tooling inserts of large dimensions for the casting of non-ferrous metals and alloys; for forging tools and dies of all sorts, shapes and sizes; and hot forging and pressing tools for steel and metal.
Its main advantage, compared to other tool steel grades, is higher working hardness at higher toughness. A longer life is therefore achieved, which is reflected in increased machine uptime, lower energy consumption and enhanced machine output.
